A huge thanks to all who participated in making our 2013 Summer Camp in Wales such a success. This could not have been done without the efforts of all our Scouts, Scout Leaders and of course the parents. This was 6th Meath's first trip abroad and included many highlights such as:
- Visiting the incredible "Electric Mountain" pumped storage power plant
- Making new friends from Bangor Scout groups especially Jonathon and Cameron
- Climbing Snowdon in the pouring rain (our first mountain over 3000ft in old units)
- The biggest, and hardest hike 6th Meath have ever done, 24km with 1282m ascent. Well done to everyone, hope your blisters heal soon!
- Visiting Caernarfon castle and learning all about the lives of medieval knights and servants
- Conquering our fears on ropes and ladders (thank you Gemma for all your help)
- Learning the happy shark song on our camp fire! (thanks Mark!)
- Trying to remember that one missing answer for Suzie's quiz night
- Trying to find that one missing item in Paul's scavenger hunt
- Taking in the sights on the Llanberis lake railway
- Going back for second helpings of Snowdon! (Pyg patrol)
