At a special Youth Awards ceremony on February 22, two Venture Scouts from Ashbourne were presented with their Chief Scout Award and Bronze Gaisce medals by Michael John Shinnick, the Chief Scout. Two of only 80 Scouts in Ireland to have received these awards thus far, Sarah and Mary Liz highlighted the personal challenge involved, and the great support provided by their leaders and mentors in Ashbourne Scout Group.

Following the great example set by the girls, Ashbourne Scout Group now has eight Beaver Scouts, six Cub Scouts, five Scouts and one Venture Scout working in pursuit of this prestigious, exciting and challenging award. Good Luck.
