Our annual camp this year will be to Castle Saunderson which is Scouting Irelands new campsite on the Cavan/Monaghan border. Beavers from all over the North East Province will attend roughly 800 youth members. Camp North East 2014 will run from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th May 2014 2 nights. (Our Cub Pack will be there for 3 nights.)
Because of the remote location (about two hours away) and the fact it is a 2 night camp for beavers, we are only inviting our older beavers, who are also doing their Chief Scout award. Attending this camp, as well as being great fun for them, will also fulfil some of the requirements for this prestigious award which they undertake in their last months in beavers.
The cost of the camp is as follows: Beaver Scouts €75
The cost covers camping, all the organised activities, food, transport and a camp knecker & badge.
A non-refundable deposit of €20 per participant is needed to book a place payable Friday 14th of March.
This is a Provincial event and we only have a fixed number of places and once these are full we cannot extend it.
Please talk with your Beaver scout as places will not be available after this date we don’t want disappointed beaver Scouts.
To help spread the cost if you wish to put away a bit per week we can setup a savings book and before you know it, it will be paid !
More information on the camp will be posted here on our Website as we get it.
The Camp Chief is Myself Stephen and I am usually available at our beaver and cub meetings so if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to speak with me there or contact me on the number below.
Yours in Scouting.
Stephen O'Keeffe.
